Well, hello there! It’s been awhile since I have posted and I am so glad that your are still there…(you are, aren’t you?). Since my brother’s wreck, life has been a little turned upside down. But this week, he finally moved out of the hospital and into an out-of-state rehab facility. It’s so great to see him making progress! Thanks so much for all your prayers and support.
Dryad Blog Hop
This post happens to serve dual purposes and one is as a blog hop for Shannon Brinkley’s new fabric collection, Dryad.
As a general rule, I tend to not join blog hops, unless I feel strongly about the product. I value the fact that you take the time to read my blog and don’t want to do anything to that isn’t authentic to me.
But this is different, because I not only love Shannon, I love her debut fabric collection with Fabri-Quilt. To become a fabric designer, you have to put yourself out there and really work hard at it. I am so proud of her for taking the plunge and chasing that dream. When I saw her new collection, I was instantly smitten.
I loved the fabric so much that I ordered it for the shop….the whole collection!
These are only a few of the prints, but you can definitely get a sense of the role nature plays in her inspiration.
It’s almost a little cliche to say, but it really is a versatile collection. All the prints work really well together and it’s so unique!
I even pieced something out it….that’s a huge deal for me! Usually I would rather quilt, but this cute Rock Candy pattern by Jaybird quilts was just too fun to pass up!
Becky McCoy, who makes fantastic bags, whipped up this cute purse out the fabric as well. While I am decent at making small quilt tops, I draw the line at bags. I’d rather leave that up to the professionals!
The collection also comes with charm packs, and pre-cut 2 1/2″ strips.
What would a blog hop be without a giveaway? Fabri-Quilt is giving away a bundle of the fabric collection to one lucky reader. Just leave a comment on this post for a chance to win! I will draw a winner on February 12th.
