Whew! Can you tell that Quilt Market is fast approaching?? Usually around this time of year, I pretty much disappear from my blog and social media sites. Instead, I am chained to my quilting machine, getting all my work done. Ok, so I am not really chained to my machine, but I am spending all my time quilting. Good thing I love doing it so much!!
Usually, I can’t really show what I am working on until Quilt Market arrives. But I can go ahead and share one quilt with you…..
This quilt was pieced by Jen Nevitt using the Chopsticks quilt pattern by Julie Herman of Jaybird quilts. It was made using Jessica Levitt’s new fabric collection, Cascade. Jessica is not only talented, but also a great friend, so of course I was excited to quilt her quilt for her.
I love this quilt pattern and I especially love quilting geometric design in the triangles. It just fits the quilt!
In the outer rings of the triangles, I quilted triangles shapes that filled the area. In some of the prints, I let the fabric guide me by quilting along the designs in the fabric.
Another shot of the quilting……I had too much fun quilting this quilt!!
Check out Jessica’s blog to learn more about the quilt and the collection.
