Whew, I capped off a super busy February with a trip to QuiltCon where I had the pleasure of hanging out with several fun groups of quilters!
I had so much fun teaching the classes and was so inspired by their “go for it” attitude.
Everyone was so sweet, I am sure I will be smiling for the rest of the month!!! We learned several designs and talked about how to switch them up to make them different. They even laughed at my silly jokes! It can’t get much better than that!!
The wonderful crew at Handi Quilter supplied the machines and a group of awesome volunteers that really kept us all quilting!
The biggest surprise of the weekend was seeing this:
If I had known that my picture was going to be on the side of the truck, I would have made sure that my eyebrows were waxed!
I even entered a quilt in the show…..I can’t wait to get it home and hang it up in my quilting room.
You just might see this quilt on the cover of a magazine….(hint, hint)
I also gave a lecture on Machine Quilting for the Modern Quilt. Craftsy filmed it and has it free on their website.
Before I gave this lecture, I taught all day and had to run from the classroom to the lecture hall. Just in case you wonder why my hair looks crazy. As a complete side note, it’s so nervewracking to talk in front of a camera. I feel like I can talk to a group of people, but as soon as the camera turns on, my voice gets all squeaky.
Anyways, I had fun but am glad to be home and back to quilting. I can’t wait to blog about this quilt tomorrow. I have been waiting a long time to share pictures!
Until tomorrow, Happy Quilting!!!!
