I love the texture of quilting! There is something about it that just beckons you to come closer and touch it! It love texture so much that I dedicated a whole chapter in my second book, In the Studio With Angela Walters, to it.
Today’s quilt, another one of Emily’s quilts, is a great example of how yummy texture can be!
This quilt was BIG (which isn’t necessarily my favorite!) but when I took it off of the rack, I knew that the time spent was worth it.
I used pretty much all of my favorite quilting designs.
I really, really love Emily’s color combinations and this quilt is no different!!
I feel like I should say more about the quilt and the quilting, but I just can’t think of the right words to say. The pictures do most of the talking for me!
Can you just imagine how difficult it was to give these quilts back. I think about them as foster children….they aren’t mine, but they get to come stay with me awhile!
On a different subject, one of my quilty friends, Kelly, has started up a flickr group for quilting inspired by my books, classes or trunk shows. While it feels a little weird to see it, I really like being able to see what everyone has quilted. So if you are on flickr, check it out!!!
Happy Quilting
