Fall Quilt Market has been over for a couple of weeks and I still feel like I am recovering from it. I have never had so much going on or had so much fun. It was full of firsts….my first fabric line (!), my first booth, and my first time teaching at Quilt Festival (which isn’t the same thing as market, but close enough!). I was also promoting my second book and Craftsy class…..whew! You can probably see why I have been lazy the last couple of weeks.
Every bit of it was exciting, but having a booth provided another aspect to market that I was not familiar with. Normally I am the one quilting for fabric designers, but this time I was one of my own clients. I had to come up with items to fill my half-booth (which I shared with the fabulous Jeni Baker). That meant making my own projects and quilts. I have to admit, I kinda liked it! Here are a few pictures of some of the things in my booth…..
First up, me and my new fabric-family members:
Surely you have heard that saying, “There is no place like home!”, and I couldn’t have found better home as a fabric designer. I just love everyone that I work with!
My fabric line, Textures…..I still have to pinch myself to believe that it is really happening!!!
A few items in my booth.
One of my favorite things was this fun (and easy) pillow….
And, it’s reversible! A cute flower on the other side:
This quilt was made using a pattern in my second book, “In the Studio with Angela Walters”.
One component of my fabric line is a quilt panel and coordinating print.
I wanted to show several different samples of the panel. This one is a quilt made from the panel and a little bit of coordinating fabric.
There will be a free pattern available in the next few months! I also made a cute sling bag and apron with another panel. And by that, I mean that my mother-in-law made it for me, she is an incredible seamstress!!! I will share pictures of those in another blog post.
In other news, if you have preordered a copy of my second book, it has been shipped out.
If you didn’t preorder it, no worries!! I have several in stock….click here to purchase a signed copy!
Happy Quilting!
