Happy Monday! I know that I should have another post in the Business of Machine Quilting blog series, but I am going to have to skip it the next two weeks.
It’s that time of year again. The fun, stressful, busy, rewarding pre-market rush. And since I didn’t think I was quite busy enough, I decided to book some other events around the same time.
I will get home just long enough to catch my breath and then I am heading to Houston for Quilt Market and Quilt Festival. At Quilt Market, I will be promoting my second book, In the Studio with Angela Walters, and my first fabric line, Textures. Yay!
I am also teaching at Quilt Festival. My hands-on class are sold out but there are some spots left in my lectures on Monday (October 29th), Machine Quilting for the Modern Quilt (2pm-3pm) and Quilting Negative Space (4pm-5pm).
I have been putting together samples for the classes and I am really excited to teach some new designs.
This one is my new favorite! I have been wanting to have a “signature design”. Something that is original enough to stand out, but still easy to quilt. I wanted it to be versatile and interesting. I think I nailed it! I am going to show how to quilt it and how to change it up with different fillers.
Edited: I love this design so much that I included it in my latest book, Shape By Shape Quilting.
