Here is a quilt that I quilted awhile back, but better late (blogging) the never!

The freakingly fantastic people at Robert Kaufman fabrics sent me this quilt to quilt and it was so cute that I really, really, (really!) didn’t want to send it back! It was made using their Dr Seuss fabric. They asked me to only quilt the white and leave the pennants unquilted.
Since this quilt was for a special little baby, I opted for large circles. I thought that once the quilt was washed, it would add a lot of soft texture to the quilt!
One of the cute things about this quilt is that some of the triangles fold up to reveal different textured fabrics.
As an added special touch, they asked me to quilt a (heart)RK on it somewhere.
I forgot to take pictures of it after the blue water soluble marker was removed.
I love being able to show a quilt that isn’t as densely quilted as I normally do. While I love a lot of quilting, the most important thing is to do what is best for the quilt…..and in this case, I think that this was the best option (even if it wasn’t the hardest)!
Happy Quilting!
